People consider Hemp seed to be a superfood. Hemp seeds are nutritionally rich in amino acids and have plenty of health benefits. Take a look at some of the benefits. 

 

1- Protein 

Hemp seeds have 32grams of protein per 100g, which is higher than most nuts and seeds. It contains all nine essential amino acid, making it a complete source of protein. 2. Fiber

It's known that consuming enough fiber everyday can reduce appetite, help with weight management, stabilising blood sugar levels and improve health of the gut. 

Three table spoons of Hemp seeds contain approximately 1.2g of fiber. Most of its fiber in its shell or outer hull.  

 

 

3. Unsaturated fats

Hemp seeds are low in saturated fats that contain no trans fats. Hemp also contains polyunsaturated fats  especially omega-3 fatty acids. Hemp contains alpha-linolenic acid (ALA) which is an omega-3. People tend to eat too many omega-6s and not enough omega-3s. Adding Hemp seeds can help the body with essential fatty acids, that the body cannot produce. Adding Hemp seeds to your diet will promote a more balanced diet. 

 

 

4. Vitamins and Minerals

Hemp seeds contain many different vitamins and minerals. Hemp seeds are particularly rich in vitamin E, Magnesium, Potassium and Phosphorus. Its all a great source of Iron, Zinc and B Vitamins.  

 

 

5 - Boost heart health 

It is well known that omega-3 fatty acids improve the health of the heart and reduce the risk of heart disease. Hemp seeds contain high levels of omega-3s, the seeds also contain high levels of arginine, an amino acid that turns into nitric oxide, which is essential for arteries and helps keep blood vessel walls smooth.
